Stan Woroschuk, has 43+ years of truck heavy-duty mechanic experience and a journey-man heavy duty truck mechanic certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic (SIAST) Saskatoon, SK.
On Aug. 1, 1983 Stan started his business as a one-man operation called Stan’s Mobile Service. Stan pioneered the 24-hour service heavy duty truck repair industry as an early entrepreneur. Stan drove a van equipped with tools and equipment repairing heavy duty trucks and farm equipment. As the business grew Stan required a shop to sell his truck parts and service major truck repairs. For eight years he operated his business from 377-5th Ave. N., in Yorkton, Sk. which had grown to employ a staff of 7 employees, plus himself as President and Service Manager. Stan's wife, Louise, by his side did the book-keeping for the business in the evenings, and weekends.
On May 24, 1985, Stan’s Mobile Service Ltd. was incorporated under the Business Corporations Act. As time went on, Stan’s facility at 377 – 5th Ave. N. became too small to accommodate all the trucks for service, which lead Stan to build his own shop, a much larger one along the new truck route on York Road East.
On Nov. 1, 1991, Stan’s Mobile Service Ltd, moved to his new location at 361 York Road West. This 10,000 sq. ft. building accommodated up to 10 highway trucks at one time, and 1,550 sq. ft. of truck retail parts area and offices. The truck center facilitated a wash-bay, that offered highway trucks and trailers a place to wash their trucks. Through the years, the business grew to 12 full time employees which led to an extension on his building in 1994 by adding another 4,000 sq. ft. to the existing building. Stan's business has contributed to the industry with his years of hard work and dedication while providing employment. Today after 34+ years, he continues to provide heavy duty truck parts and service to Yorkton and area.
